Who it’s for

For anyone who already sees the value of immersive media for learning — and wants to know how to make it work in practice.

Teachers & staff teams

From history and STEM to project work, including vocational schools. More for teachers

Universities & seminars

University lecturers, teacher training and teaching & learning teams. More for universities

Adult education & media centres

Trainers and facilitators, plus media centres and education providers as co-organisers. More for media centres

You don’t need to be an XR expert — but you should already see the potential and bring one question with you: how do I actually make this work?

What you’ll take away

More than a quick taster — depending on the format, you’ll leave with a confident start or a module already underway that you can finish in your own time.

Hands-on experience

Experience immersive media first-hand and see how it works within realistic timeframes — a 45- or 90-minute lesson.

A module of your own

Arrive with your topic and leave with a module that has real substance — and the confidence to finish it on your own.

Clarity on next steps

Know which devices are available to you, how media centres can help and what to do next.

  • Make XR and 360° media genuinely useful for your subjects
  • Develop meaningful use cases for your subjects and learners
  • Refine your module and get it ready for class on your own
  • Structure your own content and assess it from a media-education perspective
  • Take a realistic view of the opportunities, limits and practical requirements

How it works

Whichever format you choose, the path is the same. The main difference is how much time you spend working on your own module with us.

1 — Call & format

In a short call, we discuss your goals, learners and devices — and which format suits you best. Dates and times are arranged to fit your schedule.

2 — Hands-on with your material

Set up devices and workflow, work with 360° photos, 3D objects and existing media, embed them in your teaching and shape them for a 45- or 90-minute lesson.

3 — Results & next steps

You leave with a clear plan: what’s still missing, who can help with access to XR headsets and how to finish the rest on your own.

  • App onboarding: 90 minutes online — setup, best practice and your questions.
  • One-day workshop: six hours on site — from first steps to a module underway in a single day.
  • Intensive workshop: two days of four hours each — with time to experiment in between and more room to refine your work.

Pricing & booking

App onboarding €190 · One-day workshop €890 · Intensive workshop €1,200 — all prices include VAT

What to bring

  • A laptop is recommended; a smartphone or tablet is useful
  • For online onboarding: a stable internet connection and a camera
  • On site: just a room — we bring the XR headsets and the network
  • Your own topic or material — optional, but welcome

Getting started

On a call, we agree the format, date and venue, and whether to involve a media centre or education provider. The invoice goes to your institution, and we’re happy to send a written quote in advance.

Workshop FAQ

Who are the workshops for?

For teachers and educators in schools, universities and adult education who already see the value of immersive media — and want to know how to make it work with their own topic and within realistic timeframes. Find out more on For teachers and For universities.

Do we need any prior knowledge?

No. You don’t need any XR experience or technical background. All you need is the question you bring with you: how can I make this work for my topic?

Which format is right for us?

App onboarding is the quick way in: 90 minutes online, with best practice and time for your questions. Book the one-day workshop afterwards and we’ll credit the full €190. If you want to leave with a module of your own, the one-day workshop on site is the right choice — and our recommendation. The intensive workshop spreads the work over two days, giving you extra time to experiment and refine.

What’s included in the price?

For on-site workshops, everything: travel, six XR headsets, our own network, the workshop itself, a certificate of attendance and a three-month Edu licence for the Splexit app for every participant. All prices include VAT — there are no hidden extras.

Are prices the same for schools and universities?

Yes. Workshop prices are the same for schools, universities and adult education. For universities, we also support entire seminars — scope and price are agreed individually. Find out more on For universities.

How many people can take part?

The one-day and intensive workshops are designed for up to 6 participants: we bring six XR headsets, and in a group this size everyone gets plenty of hands-on time. Larger groups of up to 10 are possible, with participants sharing headsets. Each additional person costs €148 for the one-day workshop and €200 for the intensive workshop. We’re happy to plan whole-staff training and larger formats with you.

Who gets the invoice?

Your institution — the school, school authority, university, department or media centre. Nobody pays out of their own pocket. We’re happy to put together a written quote for your head teacher or procurement team.

Do we need Wi-Fi on site?

No. For on-site workshops we bring our own network, so you don’t depend on school or university Wi-Fi, firewalls or device approvals.

Is the focus on teaching or on technology?

On teaching: how do I use immersive media well in lessons, lectures and outreach? Splexit is the tool — you stay the teacher.

How do we book a workshop?

Book a call with no obligation. We’ll agree the format, date and venue, and whether to involve a media centre. On-site workshops are often run in partnership with XR hubs or education providers.
